Belated Irish show

Back in February Trollangens Runar at Bareve and Bareve Blaauboskom went to their first Irish Championship show and won the Green Star Dog/BOB and Green Star Bitch. Runar then went on to win Group 3 under a Swedish judge at the tender age of 14 months old.

Hearing Dogs for the Deaf

One of our Cocker Spaniel puppies from our latest litter has been taken by The Hearing Dogs for the Deaf to be trained as one of their hearing dogs. He will be undergoing many weeks of socialising and training with an assessment at 6 months and then again at 12 months and if all goes well he will then become an official hearing dog and will start his formal training.

His other two litter mates also underwent the initial training assessment and passed and these two blue roan dog puppies are now looking for their new homes. If you feel you can offer one of these puppies an active, fun loving home with plenty of exercise and stimulation then please contact us for further information.

Crufts

Bareve had a fabulous day at Crufts under breed specialist Mrs Pat Dempster (Benreeda). Our young Swedish import Trollangens Runar at Bareve won his first CC and BOB from the junior class and then presented a good performance in the gundog ring later that evening. Our Sh Ch Bareve Batwa (Top GWP of 2010) won the BCC giving us the CC double on the day.

The Bareve Breeder Team – Sh Ch Bareve Batwa, Bareve Bryluen, Sh Ch Bareve Buffy and Bareve Y’N Ban at Edhenky qualified for the Breeder Final for the second year running – the only GWP Breeder Team to have qualified for this final. Once again our team led the way into the main ring and we all had an enjoyable day despite not being in the awards. Thank you David, Sarah and Jennie for their help in supporting our Bareve Breeder Team.

Working Test Success at Rorrington

At last weekend’s working test at Rorrington Paul Bradley with his Bareve Bucholly was 2nd in his first open class after winning the novice the weekend before and Andy Watts with his Bareve Bourbonville was 3rd.

Another great weekend for these 2 Freddy sons and their owners.

Working Test Successes for Bareve GWPs

On 6th June at the “special” KC Open working test at Chatsworth two GWP’s were in the final 4 awards – 2nd was Roy Cullen and his Maplehaze Glen Lossie and 4th was Andy Watts and his Bareve Bourbonville.

The following day at the Worcestershire Gundog Working Test Paul Bradley with Bareve Bucholly won the Novice working test and Andy with Bourbonville won the Open – a fantastic Bareve “double”. Both of these GWPs are still only just 2 years old. Well done to them both.

Success at Birmingham National, SKC and Bath

The Bareve team are having a great year so far taking the top breed awards at Birmingham, SKC and Bath.

At Birmingham Jan & Alex Friar’s Bareve Bellabini for Sashal took her first CC & BOB at just over 2 years old. This adds to the 2 RCCs she won in 2008 as a Junior. Our own Ch Bareve Beesterkraal took the RDCC and the Bareve team were Best Breeders in Breed.

At SKC, Sharon was judging however Bareve GWPs owned by others were still in attendance. At this show Bareve Bellabini followed on from Bimingham National to win her second CC.

At Bath our own Sh Ch Bareve Batwa won the BCC & BOB and was shortlisted in the Gundog Group. Bareve Bellabini had another good show winning Limit bitch and the RCC. Bareve Y’N Ban at Edhenky won Puppy dog.

The Bareve breeders team was declared best breeder in breed and went on to create breed history as the first GWP team to win the Gundog Breeders Group overall.

WELKS Championship Show

April saw us at WELKS Championship show. We do not have breed classes here so compete in Any Variety Not Separately Classified alongside other GWPs and gundog breeds.

Best AVNSC was won by our Ch Freddy vom Kapellenhof at Bareve who went on to take Gundog Group 2.

Best AVNSC Puppy was won by Bareve Y’n Ban at Edhenky owned by Jenny Brewer

Crufts Championship Show

March 09 saw us all at Crufts Championship show for the start of our shows with CCs this year. Bareve GWPs had a fabulous day accounting for many great wins/placings with dogs owned by ourselves and others. Gundog Specialist Patsy Hollings was our judge and awards Bareve dogs the following:

Best of Breed (going on to Gundog Group 4) – Ch Freddy vom Kapellenhof at Bareve. Freddy has now equalled the Breed CC Record held by our own Sh Ch Bareve Biwindi JW

Bitch CC (her second) – Bareve Bataka, handled by Alex Friar. Chelsea is a Freddy daughter.

1st Post Graduate Bitch – Bareve Buffy owned by Sarah Morris

1st Good Citizen bitch – Sh Ch Bareve Boxcara to Jepejo ShCM owned by Jean and John Marshall

Class placings where also won by Bareve Balakot, Ch Bareve Beesterkraal, Sh Ch Bareve Bronte for Rudishaw and Bareve Bokassa von Jepejo.

Manchester Championship Show

First Championship show of the season for us at Manchester in January.

A successful day for our breeding – both ours and those owned by others under breed specialist Alex Friar. There are no CCs awards at this show. The Bareve results were as follows:
